Hello there, I'm writing to you all the way from Israel, I saw that you are one serious forum. Any way... i'm starting to get really hopeless, yesterday I bought a brand new PSP Slim&Lite 3000 Ver. 5.03 If it matters, the PSP was bought in China (my mother works there) and she bring it to here (Israel) - so... the 'go to the shop solution' won't work in this case. I run windows Vista X64... My psp has a 2GB+8GB. Now... to the problem: When I try to plug in my USB cable to the PSP and in to my PC... I go to Usb connection in me system (PSP) Then it writes to me: 'Please Wait'... and believe me I waited... nada. For my friends it writes: 'USB Mode' and opens right up.... in my case the it's stuck, and the Vista program says... she cannot recognize an Unkwon Device. She cannot find a wizard installing driver and.. actually she cant find anything. I seriously don't know what to do... I tried everything, from unplugging and plugging the PSP USB cable - turning off the PC... Restarting the PSP.... I'm really hopeless... any solutions? Thank You All Very Much.
Troubleshooting Usb Connections Windows …
I had a similar malfunctioning issue with my mp3/usb player which i fixed by doing this:-1. Put your psp into usb mode. Go to control panel, then device manager, scroll to 'disk drive' and then right click on the psp usb device. Click uninstall, then ok at the prompt. Disconnect your psp's usb connection. Power off your Sony PSP MS USB Device device. Disconnect the device from your computer. Reconnect the device and power it on. Double click the driver download to extract it. If a language option is given, select your language. Follow the directions on the installation program screen. Reboot your computer.
